A general awareness session on ARDSI Hyderabad Deccan Services was organized at Little Flower High School, Chirag Ali Lane Abids on 12 Oct 2012. The session commenced by a welcome address by Brother Vincent, Principal of Little Flower High School.

The session started with an introduction to Dementia and its causes, prevalence in India and difference between normal and abnormal forgetfulness. Several questions were asked by the audience about memory, ageing, forgetfulness and care for persons with dementia. Aspects such as social stigma and behavioural issues were briefly discussed and questions responded to.

The session ended with an overview of ARDSI, its objectives and services. Brochures, leaflets and other materials were distributed.
