October Caregivers Meeting
The monthly caregivers' meeting on 10th October, Second Saturday, 2 – 3 p.m, at Conference Hall, 1st Floor, Millenium Block, NIMS, included screening of a Documentary Movie by WHO on Alzheimer’s titled “Drifting through time – Living with Alzheimer’s Disease”. The meeting was attended by Family members, ARDSI volunteers, representatives from NIMS Physiotherapy dept and Aasara Volunteers.
Dr Rukmini has given a talk on “What is Dementia?” She responded to queries from the audience, clarifying how to do the early diagnosis and the medical aspects of Dementia.
Some T-shirts were distributed to the selected candidates from the Lucky Draw. The meeting closed with an exhortion to the public for greater involvement in volunteer efforts, advocacy and awareness of the disease.
