Our Genesis

ARDSI HYD DECCAN – 18+ years of experience and expertise in Dementia Care with Person Centred Care approach, hand holding Caregiver Support and improving the Quality of Life of the Person with Dementia.

Our Genesis

We are the first of its kind in Dementia Care providers, in the combined state of Andhra Pradesh in 2008 and it all started at the initiative of caregivers when Dementia was not fully known even to the health care professionals. Established in November 2008, ARDSI-Hyderabad Deccan is the local chapter of the National Organization – Alzheimer’s & Related Disorders Society of India.
We registered as a society on 28thAugust 2009 (Registration no: 561/900/2009) under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Act 2001. Registered address: 8-3-332/5, Road no 3, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad- 500 034. Registration No.:561/2009. Pan number: AABAA4659D. CSR Number CSR00045866.
We are providing day care and homecare services for persons with dementia; counselling and hand holding support to caregivers and families, in and around Hyderabad for the past sixteen years.
We are the pioneers in conducting awareness campaigns, and actively engaging with the governments both at the state and national level and influenced policy – inclusion of Dementia as part of the Non – Communicable Diseases in the National Health Mission.
We have been awarded the Andhra Pradesh (combined) State Award for institutions working towards spreading awareness, knowledge and information in the field of ageing {Alzheimer’s and other dementias} for the year 2010
To extend our services to the larger community we have established partnerships with several hospitals in the city like Asha Hospitals, Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences, Yashoda Hospitals, several organizations like AASRA, a Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation/ Help Age India initiative for senior citizens, Help Age India, Confederation of Voluntary Associations (COVA) and the Pain Relief and palliative Care Society-Hyderabad, Mantha’s Research Foundation and Chetana Medical Trust.
